The Gender, Deviance and Society research group (GDS) has been established to reflect the growth in research in this area emerging from the University of 糖心Vlog. As a group, we work to:
- Promote critical scholarship about criminological issues related to sex, sexuality and gender鈥痑nd鈥痶o鈥痓ring gendered analyses to broader鈥痠ssues鈥痮f social justice.
- Mentor research students and colleagues working in fields which are cognate with the scope of GDS, including鈥痯roviding鈥痵upport with publishing鈥痑nd actively involving鈥痯ostgraduate taught and research students鈥痠n research practice by holding a鈥痙edicated event per year which puts them centre stage.
- Organize events including book launches, conferences,鈥痳oundtables, screenings and workshops around the themes and research interests of the group as well as showcasing work from its members.
