This hospitality management course is targeted at those with prior university study in this area who are looking to use the modules this course offers to build on their previous study.
The course explores strategic hospitality management, innovation and business planning, and revenue management for hospitality. You’ll also choose two option modules - one from a list which includes a consultancy project or dissertation; and one from a list which includes event venue management, contemporary issues in international tourism, and managing HR in tourism and hospitality.

IMPORTANT: Please note, this programme is recruiting ONLY for Year 3 full-time entry (i.e. only taking 'Direct Entry' students). As such, please disregard ALL years - other than Year 3 of the full-time structure - set out below as these relate to no-longer-offered entry points to this degree. Please also disregard all modes OTHER than full-time as they are not available.

Entry requirements
Year 3 Entry
- 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5, minimum overall score of 55% with no failed or referred modules.
This course is for Home students from within the UK who have already studied 2 years of a relevant course at level 4 and 5 and wish to continue their education at the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog.
We teach BA International Tourism and Hospitality Management for students who do not meet this entry criteria.

How you will learn
Teaching
Learning takes place through a combination of timetabled learning and independent study.
You can view more information about how each module is taught within our 'What you will study' section.
Seminars and workshops enable you to discuss and develop your understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller groups. You will also be able to meet your personal tutor. Timetabled learning may fall between 9am and 9pm depending on your courses and tutorials.

Independent learning
Outside of timetabled sessions, you'll need to dedicate self-study time (around 20-30 hours per week) to prepare for coursework, presentations and exams.
You can use Stockwell Street library and online resources to support further reading and research.
Overall workload
Your overall workload consists of contact hours (lectures, seminars, etc), independent learning, assessments, and field trips. Each credit equates to around 10 hours of study. Contact hours may vary depending on your modules.
In addition, during the week you can also:
- Attend additional support classes in some modules
- Attend guest lectures from industry experts
- Take part in employability and enterprise workshops

Each course has formal assessments which count towards your grade. Some courses may also include 'practice' assignments, which help you monitor progress and do not count towards your final grade.

This bursary is worth £700 for new undergraduate students with a low household income, entering Year 0 or 1 who meet the eligibility criteria.

The University’s Employability Team may advertise internship opportunities which are made available to the University and which the team feel are appropriate for University of ÌÇÐÄVlog students. Internships are usually shorter opportunities ranging from 5 working days to 6 months and may be part-time or full-time. Living in halls of residence is a great way to make new friends and get into the social side of university life. With four great locations, all minutes away from the campus and the centre of historic ÌÇÐÄVlog , you will be at the heart of one of the most beautiful university settings in the UK.
Rooms start at £146.30/wk and include Wi-Fi, utility bills, access to our on-campus gym and 24-hour security - and just a 10-minute train journey to central London. Students based at our ÌÇÐÄVlog campus can also choose to live the Student Village at Avery Hill, which is only a short ride on our free shuttle bus.

Academic skills and study support
Access study skills support through your academic tutor, our subject librarians and our online academic skills centre.
Where appropriate, we provide support in academic English and mathematics. If you need support to use particular IT packages for a specific module, we provide training for this.
We also offer a range of activities to support you throughout your studies during GRE Fest, which includes several workshops that support our students and provide useful information.
All students will also be assigned an academic tutor as the first point of contact for any academic queries.
